At 16, while most people my age were figuring out their first jobs, I was going door to door selling window-cleaning services for my best friend's brother's company. I was nervous. I heard "no" a lot. But every door taught me something: how to start a conversation, handle rejection, and trust myself enough to try again.
At 18, I took that same drive into life insurance. I wasn't handed a career — I learned how to build one. Within my first year, I personally reached $30,000 in issue-paid production in a month and experienced $10,000–$15,000 deposit months. By 19, I had moved out of my parents' home and into my dream apartment.
And the best part? I realized the skills that changed my life could be taught. Sales gave me more than income. It gave me confidence, independence, and the ability to create something on my own terms.
That's why I'm building Flourish Financial, a female-led life insurance agency within Family First Life. I want to help other ambitious women learn to sell remotely, genuinely protect families, and build a business they can grow from a laptop. You don't need to have it all figured out. You do need to be willing to learn, show up, and do the work.
